Nullwatch can send a log of each finished run to Grid North Games. It only does this if you say yes when the game asks. You can say no and play the whole game the same way.
What is sent
- What happened during the run: nodes that appeared, hits, damage to the firewall, weapons, mods, skills, purchases and other choices.
- Snapshots of your progress and the balance values the game used.
- When the run was played, the game version and a random run ID.
Not sent: your name, Steam account, email, hardware, location or any ID that links two runs to the same player.
When
After a run ends, by losing or by finishing the demo. If you are offline, the game tries again later.
Why
To balance the game and find bugs. Legal basis: your consent (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR).
Who handles it
Uploads pass through Cloudflare, which sees your IP address in order to deliver them. They are stored on a server run by Grid North Games. That server counts uploads per IP address for one hour to stop abuse. It does not save IP addresses.
How long
90 days. After that, each run is deleted automatically.
Your choices
- Turn run sharing off in Settings at any time. Runs not yet sent are dropped.
- To have a sent run deleted, or to get a copy of it, email [email protected] with its run ID. The ID is shown on the screen at the end of the run.
- You can also complain to a data protection authority.
